TIP: As you learn, remember to always look up any word that you don’t understand. Go to Google to define the word, understand how it fits into the sentence and learn other words you can use for the same. More on how to use Google to define words

We’ll be talking about the following topics over the following few posts on how to learn effectively. Enjoy the tid bits, so you’ll look forward to

Read – A lot! – It’s been widely said that readers are leaders. The more you read, the more you learn.  Read almost anything. Reading takes you places you can’t afford

Write – If reading is the leader’s tool, writing is the creator’s tool, when you write, you create. When you create you learn more about yourself and about your creation. Writing improves your understanding thereby your learning.

Arithmetic –

As the definition shows. Arithmetic reminds you of the dreaded monster MATHEMATICS. But getting comfortable with arithmetic, and believeing you can do it improves your learning. It helps you understand patterns, it helps improve your reasoning too.

Fail –  Yes you heard it right! One of the key components of learning is failing. You have to learn to keep trying every time you fail. Like Temple Run, every time you get caught by the monster, you don’t give up, you try again. It’ll improve your resilience and your ability to learn. More on that later.

Have Fun – Learning shouldn’t be difficult or tough or unexciting. There are a lot of fun ways to learn. We’ll explore some of these ideas.

Listen – You can understand the important of listening when you consider how major the ear is as a part of the body. The listening process involves five stages: receiving, understanding, evaluating, remembering, and responding. We’ll talk more about listening in later posts.

Believe – Believe in yourself. Believe you can achieve whatever you want to achieve. Believe.

Be Curious – Curiosity makes learning exciting. Learning without being curious feels like you’re being forced to learn, but curiosity makes you want to go through whatever to achieve your aim.
